1. The Panorama Music Festival

Coachella, Billboard Hot 100, Governors Ball, and other music festivals are notorious for great food, amazing performers, and the start of summer. After the buildup is over and the hype has died down, New Yorkers are left to endure the sweltering heat of the city streets. The Panorama Music Festival is a perfect opportunity for a weekend getaway close to home. The festival kicks off Friday July 28th and ends Sunday July 30th. It is located on Randall's Island so hop on the ferry with some friends! Don't forget a blanket, cash, and some sunglasses and enjoy a fun-filled weekend!

2. Shakespeare in the Park in NYC

Shakespeare in the Park is one of the best free things to do in New York City this summer. The shows run from May 23rd through August 13th and are located at the open-air Delacorte Theater in Central Park. A Midsummer Night's Dream will be playing at the theater from July 11th until August 13th. Past casts from the shows have included Meryl Streep, Al Pacino, Denzel Washington, and many more. Shakespeare in the Park is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a relaxing night out under stars.

There is no better time to enjoy an outdoor concert than the summer, especially considering the lineup we have in store for the month of July. Here are a few fun ways to spend your summer days and nights: July 1st: Blink 182 at Good Morning America, July 9th: 4Knots Music Festival, July 16th: Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, July 22nd: Celine Dion at the TODAY show, July 22nd: Sia on Good Morning America, July 23rd: Guns N' Roses, July 22nd-24th: Panorama Fest, and SO many more!

4. The Best Rooftop Bars

Whether it's date night or girls' night, a rooftop bar is always a great place to hang out and grab a drink. This July, NYC is the place to be if you're looking for a good view with a great vibe. Some NYC rooftop bars that you must check out include Spyglass Rooftop Bar on W 38th, Top of the Strand on W 37th, Refinery Rooftop on W 38th, Monarch Rooftop on W 35th; Just to name a few… Check them out!

5. "Good Morning America" Concert Series

"Good Morning America" is an easy, great, and free way to spend your summer mornings. Concert tickets are always free and sold on a first come first serve basis. A plethora of celebrities and artists have scheduled performances this July at GMA including Big Sean, Lady Antebellum, Zedd ft. Alessia Cara, Imagine Dragons, and more. If you're not spooked by waking up at 6 am for the shows, then this concert series is perfect for you!

6. NY Yankee Games

The summer is the best time to take a break from corporate life and go back to the true New Yorker that you really are. What better way to do so than by spending an evening rooting for your home team? Yankees games are going on all summer long so start getting your tickets! Not only will you enjoy a hot dog, cold beer, and some cracker jacks, but there are some awesome promotions going on in July. On July 3rd, you can purchase select tickets at half price and on July 7th through 9th the first 18,000 guests will receive Yankees beach towels, travel cups, and bobble heads, respectively. Tickets start at just $10 so what are you waiting for?

7. Smorgasburg

Smorgasburg is one of the most exciting events during the summer. Every Saturday and Sunday, April through November, over 75 vendors come together in Williamsburg and Prospect Park to showcase their unique styles of foods and beverages. Some new vendors this year include Burger Supreme, Baked Cheese Haus, Destination Dumplings, and John's Juice. Smorgasburg, the largest weekly open-air market, happens rain or shine every weekend. What better way to spend a Sunday than with good friends, good food, and good vibes?

8. Broadway

Take a break from the fast-paced New York lifestyle by going to a Broadway show. You can find reasonably priced tickets for shows you have been dying to see. This month, tickets are available for musicals like The Book of Mormon, Wicked, Chicago, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and many more. Tickets for Off-Broadway shows such as Stomp and Blue Man Group are also available for much less expensive and an equally enjoyable experience!

9. Museums

Museums are a perfect excuse to escape the sweltering heat of NYC streets and broaden your horizons. This month, museums such as the Queens Museum, The Guggenheim, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and The Museum of Modern Art are offering exhibits that will close for good at the end of July. Make sure to stop by before it's too late!
